Jordan Leer - Angler's Edge Guide Service

The paddlefish season on Truman Lake is in full swing, and Angler’s Edge Guide Service had a productive day on the water despite a crisp morning start. Captain Jordan Leer hosted guests Bill and Greg for their first-ever snagging experience, and the results did not disappoint. While the early hours brought cooler temperatures, the conditions settled into a perfect day for navigating the reservoir and locating active schools.

Both guests successfully caught their limits, including several impressive, high-quality fish. For those new to the sport, snagging paddlefish on the Harry S. Truman Reservoir requires specific techniques and local knowledge of the river channels where these prehistoric fish congregate. The day concluded with a successful haul and a great local lunch in Warsaw, MO, marking another successful outing for our guests. If you are looking for a unique Missouri fishing experience, the current movement of fish makes now a great time to be on the water.

Hot bite and happy crew! Larry and their crew joined us for a fall morning trip starting mid-morning under clear conditions with some rain rolling through. The water conditions at Harry S Truman State Park were perfect for our Warsaw MO adventure. We launched with Angler's Edge Guide Service for our Catfish, Crappie, White Bass & Hybrids Warsaw Trip.

With our gear rigged and ready, we worked Lake of the Ozarks using a mix of trolling, bottom fishing, and casting with lures to target the white crappie. The combination of techniques really paid off in these waters - Lake of the Ozarks gives us that versatility to switch between methods depending on what the fish want. The trolling kept us moving and covering water while the bottom fishing let us work the deeper structure where crappie like to hold. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around!

If you're lookin' to get on some solid Lake of the Ozarks action, our Half Day Fishing With The Top Truman Lake Fishing Guides trip is perfect for anglers wanting to experience what this fishery has to offer. We run these Catfish, Crappie, White Bass & Hybrids Warsaw trips year-round with Angler's Edge Guide Service, and the fall bite has been consistent. Whether you want to troll the main lake or work structure with bottom rigs, Lake of the Ozarks delivers. Our half-day format gives you plenty of time to learn the water and put fish in the boat without burning a whole day. Give us a call to book your Lake of the Ozarks fishing adventure - we'll put you on the fish!
